Easy registration, fun race

Signed up my daughter for the Kids Adventure Race. Registration was quick. She liked the Archery Challenge. Got her Race Bib and Finisher Medal. Good event.

Consistent race experience

Another solid year with Kids Adventure Games. My kids registered for the Team Race Entry again, just like last summer. The registration process was smooth, as usual, and the information provided beforehand was clear. They enjoyed the Mountain Biking Stage and the Zip Line Challenge. It's good to know what to expect, and they delivered. Reliability is why we keep coming back.

Smooth registration, good event

We signed up for the Kids Adventure Race Registration for the first time this year. The ordering process on their site was pretty straightforward. We got the Finisher Medal and Race T-Shirt included, which was nice. I had a question about the required equipment, and their support team responded to my email within a day, which was helpful. The event itself, especially the Obstacle Course Racing, was well-organized. My son said the Mud Pit Crawl was the highlight. Delivery of information was timely, and the overall quality of the event seemed high. Will consider again.

Good value with early bird

I was looking for a good activity for my son and found Kids Adventure Games. I used the early bird registration which saved us about $30 on the Team Race Entry. That made a big difference for our budget. He got to do the Water Navigation Stage and the Cargo Net Climb. For the price we paid, it felt like a good deal. Definitely worth it if you can snag that early discount.

Thinking of signing up for a race in Colorado for next year. When do the early bird discounts usually open up? And how much do you actually save?

B Brittany Roberts 3 weeks ago
They usually drop around fall/winter for the following year's races. I think I saved like $30-40 bucks last time. It's worth it if you know you're going to commit.

Early bird usually kicks off a few months before the season really starts, like late fall/early winter. You can save a decent amount, usually like $20-$40, so it's a good chunk off the registration fee.

Hey, thinking about signing up my two kids for one of these races this summer. Do they do a sibling discount or something similar? Trying to save a few bucks where I can.

M Mary Rivera 3 weeks ago
Yeah, I think they do! I remember seeing an option for it when I signed up my two last year. It was automatically applied or there was a specific code to use, can't quite recall now but it was there.

Yep, definitely a sibling discount. Make sure to register them together, or at least look for the option during registration. Saves a bit for sure.

I'm looking at these races vs. Tough Mudder Kids for my 10-year-old. Anyone have experience with both? What's the vibe like, are they super competitive or more just for fun?

E Eric Hill 1 month ago
Kids Adventure Games is definitely more about the adventure and teamwork. It's competitive if you want it to be, but a lot of kids are just there to have fun with their friends. Tough Mudder Kids felt a bit more intense to me, more about the 'challenge' aspect.

I've done both with my nephew. KAG is way more focused on actual racing skills like biking and navigation, plus team stuff. Tough Mudder is just obstacles. KAG feels more like a 'real' race experience for kids, if that makes sense.

What's the deal with gear? Do I need to buy a whole new mountain bike for my kid, or can they just use their regular one? And what about helmets and stuff?

M Matt W. 1 week ago
They'll need a helmet for sure, that's non-negotiable. For the bike, a regular mountain bike should be fine as long as it's in good working order. They do offer rentals if yours isn't up to snuff or you don't have one.

Helmet is a must, they're super strict on that. Bikes, as long as it's a decent mountain bike, you're probably good. It's not like pro-level stuff. Think they have rentals too if you don't wanna haul one.

So, how long do these races actually take? My kid is 8 and super excited but I'm trying to figure out how much of my day I'm committing lol. Is it an all-day thing?

L Leah Wright 1 month ago
It really depends on the course and how fast they go. For my 9-year-old, it was maybe 2-3 hours total for the short course including check-in and waiting. Not an all-day affair unless you stick around for all the other stuff.

S Susan Martin 1 month ago
They have different course lengths! My son did the short one last year and it was maybe 2-3 hours. The longer one for older kids could be a bit more, but definitely not a full 8-hour day or anything.
